Picture this scenario: Your crew is finishing up a residential duct cleaning job. The cusomer is happy with the work, but at the last minute asks, “Can you guys clean out my dryer vent?” Unfortunately, your duct cleaning truck has very limited storage space and the tools you need to clean a dryer vent are back at the shop. What do you do? You can say “No”. Or you can say, “Yes, but we won’t be able to do it today”. Or you can say, “Yes, we will run back to the shop to get the tools we need and we will be back in a little while to do that.”
Wouldn’t it be so much better if you could just say “Yes, we’ll take care of that while we are here!” Then you just grab the tools you need from your American Caddy Vac because it has enough storage space to keep all the tools you may need right there in the truck!
Having lots of storage, and a well-organized truck, can save your crews a lot of time. And that will save you a lot of money.
One of the praises for American Caddy Vac that we hear all the time from our customers is this: “The storage capacity is fantastic!”

Eric Farrell is the Operations Manager for Stanley Steemer in Delmar, Delaware. They use their American Caddy Vac to service a large area so storage makes a big difference to them. Eric says, “For us, we service three different states so at any time we may be as much as an hour and a half away from the shop, so we need to be able to carry everything we may possibly need on the truck. And it’s not cluttered, everything has it’s place and there’s plenty of space for it.”
Because of their decades-long experience (that continues today) in the Air Duct Cleaning business, Mac Mattoon and the crew at American Caddy Vac know the critical importanceof adequate storage. So when they design their cleaning units there is no wasted space. Along with the large front storage area and the vast hose storage compartment, they also find room in their design for side storage units, perfect for tool kits and extra cleaning supplies. Dave Weltz, Co-Owner of Dick’s Vacuum Service in Bismarck remembers the first time he thought their might be a problem with his American Caddy Vac. A few years after he purchased it, he needed to remove some insulation. That’s a job he normally would have used some of his older equipment for, but on this job he needed to use the Caddy Vac. He knew there was supposed to be a bypass chute, but he had never seen one on the truck. He called Mac to ask him about it. Mac directed him to a storage compartment he had never actually used… sure enough, the insulation bypass chute had been there all along!
Storage space is just another feature designed into every American Caddy Vac that makes your job more efficient, more productive, more profitable, and more enjoyable. Our customers talk about it all the time. Because American Caddy Vacs are designed by the people who use them, they are a pleasure to operate. Storage is a big part of that.
