If you call American Caddy Vac to make a purchase or ask a question, the first voice you will likely hear is that of Bob Naden. Bob has been with the business for nearly 20 years. He answers the phone for American Caddy Vac and uses his many years of experience in the Air Duct Cleaning business to help his customers.

The other hat he wears is as Project and Sales Manager for B & F PowerVac, the Air Duct Cleaning business owned and operated by the Mattoon family in Lewiston, Idaho. In this capacity he also works to schedule, dispatch, and manage the crews. He enjoys going out on the jobs to manage and bid projects.

Bob has always been a hands-on kind of guy. After he graduated from High School he worked as a small engine mechanic for a couple of years before purchasing and operating a small sawmill in the Orofino, Idaho area. He also had quite a bit of experience as a fabricator and welder, which made getting the sawmill operational a lot simpler. Still lots of work, but work he could do.

When logs became scarce, Bob worked for a while at a plywood mill near Pierce, Idaho, then spent two years in Clarkston, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho as an HVAC installer and moonlighting as a log scaler.

In 2000, Bob went to work at B & F PowerVac. A friend from his logging days was working there and told Bob about the opening. Bob worked exclusively on a PowerVac crew for about a year and a half, then came into the office, working in sales, while still going out with the crews when needed.

Bob and Tama Naden

Bob is married, with two sons. He met his wife, Tama, at his sister’s wedding a few years prior to their getting married. His oldest son (Bob III, 23 years old) is a graphic designer for the local Pepsi distributor. Youngest son Sam is 18 and graduating from High School. He plans on entering Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston in the fall to train as a machinist.

In his spare time, which is a little rare, Bob enjoys trout fishing in Idaho’s pristine streams, riding ATV’s in the back country, and he also does some woodworking.

When asked about his favorite part of the job, Bob is quick to say that he loves talking to customers, helping them with purchases, or often helping them work through a complex duct cleaning job. He has the experience and loves to share it with his customers.

But he also enjoys the occasional prank on the job… like transferring telemarketers to Steve Cox in the next office. Or his other favorite, calling one of the new guys and pretending to be an irate customer… just for chuckles.

But rest assured, Bob saves the pranks for the guys in the office. He’s all pro when it comes to talking with customers like you.
