American Caddy Vac is well known for it’s reliability. And everyone loves a truck they can depend on. But even American Caddy Vacs need routine maintenance. What is special about the Caddy Vac is that it was designed from the ground up by people who have been in the air duct cleaning business for many years. That includes many years in the early days (when they were using rigs from other manufacturers) that required their trucks to be taken off the job for routine maintenance!
Seeing how disruptive this was to their own Air Duct Cleaning business, Mac and Donna Mattoon knew that was one thing that had to change when they formed American Caddy Vac in 1998. Designing a truck that could withstand the rigors of the job it was designed to do was first priority, along with power, power, power!
But equally important to the Mattoons was making a truck that would be low maintenance, along with ease of maintenance. So they went about designing units with easy access to common maintenance features. With American Caddy Vac you simply open a door and can easily check the oil in the compressor, check fan belts and bearings, access Zerk fittings. No need to unload equipment or hoses, no need to remove components to access other components for maintenance! The bottom line is that your fleet of cleaning trucks can be working instead of sitting in the shop!
Matt Steenbeke, President of VacMan Air Duct Cleaning in Granger, Indiana has vacuum trucks from other manufacturers in his fleet, and really appreciates the difference in his American Caddy Vacs: “Maintenance-wise, it’s so much easier. With my other cleaners there’s a lot of maintenance involved. They aren’t designed with thought for the maintenance technician that has to keep it running… so that’s one of the reasons I bought a Caddy Vac and then bought another one. It’s because they are reliable, dependable. When I need to do routine maintenance, it doesn’t take the whole day away from our normal work where we could be making money. The maintenance is much simpler and there is simply much less maintenance required, too.”
Let’s face it… nobody wants to start a long and tedious maintenance job. That means that sometimes maintenance gets put off… and we all know where that leads – more down time and more expense!
American Caddy Vac wants to make maintenance simple and easy, which means routine maintenance will be done as often as it needs to be done! Our customers and their crews really appreciate the thought that goes into our design. If that sounds like something that will help your business, give us a call at American Caddy Vac!
