System Kleen of Meridian, Idaho is a business that covers a lot of ground. Their services include Carpet Cleaning, Emergency Water Damage Restoration, and Air Duct Cleaning. Their territory ranges from Ontario, Oregon to Twin Falls and Sun Valley, Idaho. Just traveling from Meridian to Sun Valley can take nearly 3 hours. It’s critically important to get to the job with all the tools you need and a Power Vac that you can depend on. That’s why owner Kent Mortensen chooses American Caddy Vac.
“The storage is better, the air pressure is better, the vacuum is better. They’re just a better unit all around”.
Kent has used other brands of Power Vac trucks in past, and he still uses some portables in some applications, but since he purchased his first used American Caddy Vac in the mid 1990’s, he’s never looked back. Right now he has five American Caddy Vacs in his fleet, including one that he purchased in 2001!
“It still runs, and it runs well. I had to replace the engine on the truck, and then I think we had to replace an air compressor or something along the way, but overall, it’s like they’re bullet-proof!”
Kent really appreciates the air pressure and vacuum pressure generated by the Caddy Vac. That extra power makes their residential work go very smoothly, and it’s critical when they do large industrial and commercial jobs. Some of their clients include the base hospital at Mountain Home Air Force Base and a large applesauce factory that ended up being a 6 month project!
When they purchased their first American Caddy Vac, Kent and some of his team members went to Lewiston, Idaho to pick up the truck and get some training. Because Mac Mattoon (Owner of American Caddy Vac) also has his own local air duct cleaning business (B & F Power Vac), he can offer hands on training for anyone who purchases a Caddy Vac. Kent appreciated that experience for the training, but he also appreciates it when he has a question or a service call.
“The guys at American Caddy Vac are very personal and extremely knowledgeable. Not only do they know the equipment, they know the industry, because they are part of that industry. They give us a lot of advice and it’s really good advice.”
Kent appreciates the prompt and professional service he receives from the Crew at American Caddy Vac.
“Recently we had a compressor go out. It was probably about 10 years old. It was a compressor and tank, so it was a large shipment. It seems like they got it to me in about 5 days so that’s a pretty quick turn-around and it was exactly what I needed. But frankly, we don’t have a lot of service needs because everything is built so well.”
“We also order hose, air whips, snakes… all kinds of tools from American Caddy Vac. All their equipment is very nice.”
Kent gives American Caddy Vac a high recommendation to other people in the industry, including his father who has a similar business in Wyoming.
“He has a smaller business and most of his work is done on coal furnaces instead of the gas and electric furnaces we see. But he uses tools from American Caddy Vac too.”
Kent is happy with American Caddy Vac. “They are just literally a better unit all around”. With such a large territory, it’s a must to have truck you can rely on, with storage for any tools you may potentially need.
