Coit Cleaning and Restoration has been in the cleaning business since 1950.  In the beginning, they were a dry cleaning business.  They began franchising in 1962.  By the 1970’s Coit had 155 franchisees and had expanded their businesses to include carpet and upholstery cleaning.  In the 90’s that business grew to include HVAC cleaning, tile and grout cleaning and hardwood refinishing.  In the 2000’s, Coit added fire, smoke and water restoration accross the nation.  Today, Coit has franchisees in the U.S., Canada, and Thailand.

Tony Patania came on very early with Coit in California nearly 40 years ago when he was 17.  He worked closely with the founder and family of the company.  In 2007 he purchased a struggling cleaning business in Fort Mill, South Carolina (just across the border from Charlotte, NC) and established his own Coit Franchise there.

Patania says, “We are a cleaning company and a restoration company.  So we do everything.  Carpets, upholstery, tile and grout, draperies, air duct cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning.  We have 22 employees and a fleet several power vac trucks including two American Caddy Vacs.”

In the beginning he did primarily residential work, but over the years he has added more and more commercial clients.  That’s where the American Caddy Vac really shines.

“The American Caddy Vac is like the Cadillac of air duct cleaners.  They’re bigger, and they are just a good truck.  I have a couple of his competitor’s trucks too, and they’re fine when we need to fit into tight spaces, but if I’m trying to impress, I’m bringing my Caddy Vac.  I mean, they just look good, and they’re well made. I have the least amount of problems with my American Caddy Vac.”

One of the reasons Patania likes the Caddy Vac is the professional and personal attention he gets from the company.  “Mac (Mac Mattoon, owner of American Caddy Vac) owns his own duct cleaning company as well (B & F Power Vac in Lewiston, Idaho), so he’s so knowledgeable about my trucks and how they are being used.”

That relationship has developed to the point that Patania purchases all of his tools from American Caddy Vac, even tools he’s using in his other trucks!  “All my stuff comes from Caddy Vac.  I get all my rods and sticks and air blowers, whips, hoses, everything.  They’re very high quality and Mac’s crew is very quick and first class.”

When Patania bought is first American Caddy Vac his crew went to Idaho for training and had a great experience.  Now he stays ahead of the competition by keeping his air cleaning staff certified and well trained, and running a well organized and reliable business, with high quality equipment.

Whether it’s replacing a compressor in a hurry, or purchasing the industry’s most powerful and reliable cleaning truck, Patania recommends Mac Mattoon and the crew at American Caddy Vac.

“I can’t say anything bad about Mac and his crew at American Caddy Vac.  They have always been first class.  I would recommend them in a heartbeat!”
