Every business counts on the reliability of their technology. At American Caddy Vac, we take the reliability of our cleaning units and our tools very seriously. We have a duct cleaning business of our own so we know how disruptive it is to have an equipment failure. Having said that, we’re very happy to say that we don’t have a lot of equipment failures because our tools and trucks are built with reliability in mind.
Recently we posted a video about our local manufacturing process for our cleaning units (click here to see the video). A key to reliability is that our cleaning units are constructed entirely of heavy steel. Obviously there are other building materials options available to us. But years of experience have taught us that other materials, like aluminum, simply do not hold up well to the rigors of heavy duty duct cleaning. Our steel construction will last for decades with proper care, long enough to outlast multiple trucks and chassis. Of course, another factor in the longevity and reliability of these units is the fact that we weld all those steel components together. This is critical for the integrity of construction. Units that are bolted together don’t last. Plus nuts need to be tightened with regularity. It doesn’t take long for a bolted unit to start rattling. It’s much cheaper to use aluminum. It’s much cheaper and takes less expertise to use nuts and bolts to hold a unit together. But it isn’t cheaper in the long run to have to spend extra hours tightening bolts. It isn’t cheaper in the long run to have to replace your cleaning unit after a few years. Our units are reliable because we build them to last. We want you to purchase another unit from us because your business is growing, not because your last unit broke down!
Our tools are also built for reliability. For example, this month’s tool special is Rods… purchase 10 rods and get one free (click here to see our video about rods). These rods are built to last! Another good example is our various whips. They are built to last, but they have parts that do wear down. So, like most of our tools, we stock replacement parts for those elements that wear down or wear out. So instead of having to purchase a whole new tool, you can purchase new whip material, or new connectors, or new fittings… We design these tools with easy to replace parts if and when they do wear down.
It’s all back to reliability. It’s all back to our commitment to provide tools and cleaning units that we would want to use. And we do! We use (and improve!) the same tools we offer to you. We always have the end user in mind and we aren’t interested in just another sale. We build relationships like we build our cleaning units… for the long term!
