As a family owned, “Built in America” business, American Caddy Vac has always tried to keep our production of trucks and tools as local as possible.  It’s difficult to maintain quality assurance if our product is built hundreds of miles away.  That’s why every one of our units is produced from start to finish by people we know and trust, in a facility only a short drive away from our offices in Lewiston, Idaho.  We know the folks who build our trucks.  We sit down and have coffee.  We plan and implement new ideas together.  We can walk into the production facility any day and see how the production of a particular cleaning unit is proceeding.  You see, at American Caddy Vac, quality control is a core value.  Every unit we sell needs to meet very strict quality criteria.  And we have a great relationship with our production team.

They begin with heavy steel sheets, and cut them to specification with a precision water jet. This amazing tool cuts through half-inch steel with speed and incredible precision, creating the individual elements of our cleaning units.

Any parts that need to be further adapted are rolled or bent. Heavy duty aluminum parts are also precision cut and prepared.

These components are then  welded together to form your cleaning unit..  We refuse to bolt bolt these elements together because bolts will inevitably loosen and need to be re-tightened. And it’s just a matter of time before bolted units will fall apart under the constant vibration and high pressure strain exerted by any cleaning unit.  We decided a long time ago that we wanted to build units that would last longer than the cab and chassis they were attached to.  That’s exactly what happens.  Many of our customers have extended the life of their American Caddy Vac cleaning units by replacing one or more cab and chassis.  A big part of that is because we refuse to bolt our units together.  We insist on welding.  That pays off for our customers.

The process continues with each unit being precisely fitted to the cab and chassis of your choice, then shot with high quality paint so your new unit will perform well and look great for years and years of heavy duty service.  This state of the art paint booth assures complete coverage and a beautiful finish.

At this point, the process moves from the hands of our trusted production professionals back to the American Caddy Vac crew for the final trimming out of your unit at our home facility.  Shelving, the compressor of your choice, and all other standard and optional equipment is installed, making your American Caddy Vac truly a unit that is built to your specifications.

Now, your American Caddy Vac is ready for you to pick up, or to be shipped.  But keep in mind what is unique about this process.  Every step of the production process takes place within a few miles of our headquarters in Lewiston, Idaho.  Every measurement, every cut, every weld… from steel sheets, to that final coat of paint… this cleaning unit is created under the watchful eye of a family owned and operated business.  We answer to our customers.  We are proud of every American Caddy Vac that we send out.  And we know every one of these units personally.  These units are not released until we have inspected every component.  We aren’t looking to just make a quick sale.  We are interested in being here for the long haul.  We want your business for this cleaning unit, and the next one, and the next one.

In short, we build every unit, from start to finish, for you.  We’re proud of that.  Every truck we send out is a display of that pride.
