Just putting that automatic transmission into “Park” may not be enough!  With manual transmissions, Air Duct Cleaning truck drivers always knew to put wheel chocks in place whenever their vehicles were parked on the slightest grade.  But that practice is just as important when using trucks with automatic transmissions.  When you or your crew put that vehicle into “Park”, there is only a small pin inside the transmission holding that large, heavy vehicle in place.

Keep wheel chocks handy and use them any time you are parked on a grade.  And park your rig with the wheels turned toward the curb.  It’s a simple step that can save the day.
