One of the foundations for the formation of American Caddy Vac was the desire to build better, more reliable trucks for our own Air Duct Cleaning business, B & F Power Vac in Lewiston, Idaho.
Mac and Donna Mattoon have owned and operated B & F since 1988. And their son, Justin Mattoon is now General Manager at B & F.
B & F is also the ideal training ground for our customers at American Caddy Vac. Many of our customers take advantage of the free training we offer with any Caddy Vac purchase. Your crew can come and work alongside our crew, learning how to use the cleaning unit, and all the tools that make for a successful Air Duct Cleaning business.
Our crews have extensive experience working residential, commercial, and industrial sites. We have the knowledge to train for every application.
B & F uses all the tools we sell at American Caddy Vac. For example, your crew can learn how to use and maintain the Dyna Probe. Or they will learn how to determine whether to use a forward or reverse sweep spinner, when to use a 5-whip or if a job might require the more aggressive sweeping action of a 3-whip. Our crew can train your crew how and when to use a flexible rod as opposed to a rod that is more stiff.
And at B & F we can show your crew how to clean and maintain the truck and tools at the end of the day.
Many of our customers, especially those new to the Air Duct Cleaning business, have sent their crews to Lewiston for training. Steve and Jo Underwood started their air duct cleaning business from scratch in 1999. This was a new business for them so they really needed some help getting started. Jo says, “When we first decided this was what we were going to do, Steve flew up to Lewiston and spent a week or a week and a half working in Mac’s duct cleaning business with his crew, learning how to do the job. It was really good training and the guys were helpful. They really helped us gain an understanding of what were getting into and what we were going to be doing.”

Justin Mattoon has been on the job at B & F since he was very young and understands the ins and outs of the Duct Cleaning business. He has also trained scores of employees over the years. He can teach you and your crew this business. Even if you already have trucks and crews, he might be able to teach you a trick or two. That’s part of the deal! The training is customized specifically to your needs! And you’ll be working with NADCA certified ASCS (Air System Cleaning Specialist) cleaning technicians.
