Donna Mattoon
President, American Caddy Vac
Vice President, B & F Power-Vac
Donna and Mac Mattoon If you spend any time at American Caddy Vac and B & F Power-Vac, you quickly realize that it's a family business, and the employees who aren't family are treated that way. Donna Mattoon has been a central feature of both businesses from the beginning, and enjoys her current roles, auditing the businesses for regulations and processes, as well as being the driving force behind the marketing and advertising for both companies. Donna and Mac married when they were very young, right out of high school. Mac had already been working for years, and even owned a home that he rented out. Donna also worked for wages from a very young age at a motel in her home town of Kamiah, Idaho, and even ran the motel when the owner was out of town. When they married they followed the construction industry for a while, but quickly realized that was not the life they wanted. So, when they were still very young, they sold 40 acres they had been living on and purchased two businesses from two brothers in Grangeville, Idaho. One brother owned a Heating, Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal [...]
Bob Naden
Project and Sales Manager for B & F PowerVac
Customer Service for American Caddy Vac
If you call American Caddy Vac to make a purchase or ask a question, the first voice you will likely hear is that of Bob Naden. Bob has been with the business for nearly 20 years. He answers the phone for American Caddy Vac and uses his many years of experience in the Air Duct Cleaning business to help his customers. The other hat he wears is as Project and Sales Manager for B & F PowerVac, the Air Duct Cleaning business owned and operated by the Mattoon family in Lewiston, Idaho. In this capacity he also works to schedule, dispatch, and manage the crews. He enjoys going out on the jobs to manage and bid projects. Bob has always been a hands-on kind of guy. After he graduated from High School he worked as a small engine mechanic for a couple of years before purchasing and operating a small sawmill in the Orofino, Idaho area. He also had quite a bit of experience as a fabricator and welder, which made getting the sawmill operational a lot simpler. Still lots of work, but work he could do. When logs became scarce, Bob worked for a while at a plywood mill near [...]
Justin Mattoon
Research and Development Manager
American Caddy Vac
General Manager, B & F Power Vac
Justin Mattoon wears a lot of hats, but that's what you would expect from a guy who's been on the job since he was 12 years old! That's how old Justin was when he started working with his dad (Mac Mattoon) in the shop at B & F Power Vac on the weekends. Mac was running his Air Duct Cleaning business in Lewiston, Idaho and was often working on the weekends changing oil and doing other maintenance on his powervac trucks. Justin was there lending a hand... and learning the business. When Justin graduated from high school he went to work for a local welded aluminum jet boat manufacturer. He started out as a detailer, but quickly moved into the finishing side of the business, installing everything from carpet to electrical with the exception of the motor. At the end of two years he was in charge of the finishing side. His crew became very efficient and got to the point where they had more finished boats than the sales staff could keep up with. As a result, a number of folks got laid off, including Justin. So, in 1997, Justin came back to B & F Power Vac, initially just [...]
